The process of applying for a place at St Michael’s School varies according to whether you require a reception place (for a child starting school in September) or are applying for a place when your child is already attending another school.
As a Church of England school, the governing body determines the admission arrangements and decides which applicants are offered a place in accordance with its published criteria.

If you wish to appeal against an admissions decision, there is a formal process and timetable - key dates are:
19th April 2022 - Primary (Reception Class) offers made
17th May 2022 - Deadline for lodging an appeal
June/July 2022 - Appeal hearings

Applications for a reception place in all Lewisham primary schools are co-ordinated through Lewisham Local Authority and should be made online (to make an online application, follow this link). Online applications may be made from September in the year before your child will start school. All applications must be completed and received by the Lewisham School Admissions Team by 15th January 2021. For those applying under the religious criteria for a place at St Michael’s, a supplementary form will also need to be completed and returned to the school by the same date.

To apply for a place at the school in Years 1-6 or Reception 2021-22 entry, you will need to complete on-line Lewisham's In-year Common Application Form (icaf) which can be accessed at the Borough's website click here for link. The school will also support you with the application process.
