extreme earth

In Year 3, we have been studying Oceania and Extreme Earth for our Geography topic.

We used different coloured doughs to represent the layers of the Earth. Then, we worked in pairs to create the layers and finally cut our ‘globes’ open to see what was inside!

This was a really fun way for us to learn about the different layers of the earth – we had to think carefully about the the size of each layer as the crust is very thin and the mantle is thick.
