Nursery News 20th July

We have had an action packed few weeks in the Nursery. We have been enjoying all the things that the summer months bring by doing what we do best – having lots of fun.

We had the arrival of some caterpillars and learnt all about the life cycle of a butterfly. The children were fascinated by how they changed over the weeks. We released the butterflies in our garden and the children loved seeing them land on the flowers before heading off into the air on their new journeys.

We read Sharing a Shell by Julia Donaldson which is a story all about friendship. They made their own little rocks pools using paper plates, sand, tissue paper and the most important thing, googly eyes!

We also read The Magic Train Ride by Sally Crabtree. This story inspired lots of play where the children imagined where they would go on a magic train ride.

Here’s the song to go with the book. The children requested to sing this daily.

A few more memories………………

Ms Carina and I have had so much fun teaching your children. They are a wonderful bunch and we wish you all a lovely summer!
