Year 3 have been learning all about volcanoes and how they are made as part of their topic on Extreme Earth. We had a go at making our own volcanoes using water, baking powder, washing up liquid and vinegar.
First, we added baking powder to water and shook it hard so that the powder dissolved.
Then, we added the washing up liquid and food colouring and gave it another shake!
Finally, we added the vinegar and stepped back as fast as we could to watch the chemical reaction!
We had such fun learning about volcanoes!
