Year 3 were busy at the end of the year with their exciting Design and Technology project — designing and making their very own cushions!
The children began by designing their own cushion covers. They considered colours, patterns, and what kind of decoration they wanted to add — from stars and hearts to animals and initials!
The focus of the project was learning how to use a running stitch, one of the simplest but most important hand-sewing techniques. We learnt how to thread a needle, secure fabric, and stitch two pieces of material together.

Ms Gayle helped the children carefully stuff their cushions and then we added finishing touches. The results were fantastic — colourful, imaginative, and completely unique!
Well done, Year 3!
