Year 1 have begun the topic of Plants in Science. They are learning to identify common plants and trees, exploring their basic parts such as roots, stems, leaves and flowers. Through-hands on activities such as planting seeds and observing growth over time, the children will begin to understand what plants need to live and grow-sunlight, water, air and soil. They also have been having a great time at Forest School and observing seasonal changes as we go from Spring into Summer!
