Reception have been using our Kagan strategies to support and develop their knowledge of number through collaborative learning.
In maths, the children have been exploring the composition of numbers to 10. The have been learning to find and make doubles to 10, as well as building the numbers from 10 to 20 by recognising the pattern of ten and 4 more, ten and 5 more, ten and 6 more, and so on. The children did this by using Numicon to explore their own findings and demonstrate their understanding, all whilst learning from each other and with one another!
