This was the question posed by Deacon David in today’s family collective worship service. He retold the story of Jonah and had some amazing helpers to re-enact key parts.
Deacon David shared that Jonah did not want to give a message that God had given him. He thought he could hide from God and run away.
After the service, all the Reception children had an opportunity to be Jonah – they really enjoyed that!
Just like Jonah, sometimes we make wrong choices and have to say sorry and do what we have been asked to do.
