An abundance of stories

Today we announced the winners of our abundance word story writing competition. Please see our original blog where we first launched the idea with the children. http://www.stmichaels1871.org.uk/blog/?p=19715

The creativity was amazing and we are so pleased with the number of entries we received. The entrants look quite happy too!

It was a hard task to chose the winners, so much so that we separated categories into lower juniors – years 3 and 4, and upper juniors – years 5 and 6. That made the task slightly easier, but not much! We had a range of stories from moving house to family disputes; the ideas were brilliant.

I am pleased to share the winning entries below: Kalisa’s Diary from Year 3 and 4 and Panda Pete from Year 5 and 6. There were also runner up prizes in each category too.

Other winners in this category were Mischief Catchers and a story about a house move.
Other winners in this category were The Virus and Doll
The competition winners.

The sharing of abundance words will recommence soon and I am looking forward to the next round of amazing stories.

Keep writing St Michael’s!
