Nursery News Autumn 1

We have had a fun filled half term and the children have settled so well into Nursery. We have enjoyed a variety of stories which the children have immersed themselves in through creative activities, role play and songs. We have learned about making new friendships, sharing, turn taking and being kind. The children are growing in confidence and readiness as they adapt to new routines and expectations.

We have been learning the Five Little Ducks song using props and and have made a classroom display.

Mark-making in the early years is part of a child’s developmental journey into writing and drawing. It also enables the child to practice their creative expression and develop their own ideas.

Lots of opportunities for physical development.

We had lots of fun reading The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson.

We had great fun doing the actions to We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen & Helen Oxenbury as well as learning the Gruffalo song and retelling the story of Owl Babies by Martin Waddell. You can listen to them at home.
