We answered the call

On Friday 29th April, the school community wore a touch or purple and gave donations to support the Bishop’s Lent appeal. Purple was chosen as it is the liturgical colour of Lent in the Church of England

Friday was also the last opportunity to buy purple wrist bands to add to the colour of hope for the day.

The donated amount will go towards providing support for people who have been displaced and are in need of shelter in the UK, Zimbabwe and Jerusalem. http://www.stmichaels1871.org.uk/blog/?p=11128

The children raised an amazing £219.63 which our Faith Committee and Headies took to Southwark Cathedral on Wednesday 4th May for the Bishops Lent Service.

They were able to do a spot of sightseeing too!

Thank you vey much for all your kind donations, and dressing your children in a somewhat difficult colour to source!
