Mental Health and Well-Being

At St Michael’s we recognise that mental health and physical health are inseparable, and we are committed to nurturing the well‑being of every child, family, and staff member. We believe that strong mental health enables children to enjoy life, engage fully with learning, and grow in confidence.
Rooted in our Christian values, our approach reflects our vision of learning in the light of God’s love, where each individual is known, valued, and supported
We have a strong universal offer through our Relationships and Health Education (RHE) curriculum that incorporates resilience, emotional literacy, growth mindset.
Additional support through small‑group or 1‑1 interventions such as ELSA, nurture groups, and access to external services including CAMHS, school nursing and mental health practitioners (MHST).
