At St Michael’s we encourage collaborative learning strategies (Kagan strategies). We believe that children can be a great resource in terms of learning from one another. Rally Coaching is one of the strategies. The children work in pairs and partner A will explain their reasoning, whilst partner B must be supportive friend who will watch and listen as this is done, and then either coach if the problem is answered incorrectly or praise if it is right. Then they swap.
