It’s the end of the half term, so therefore the time when we congratulate those children who have earned a platinum card.
For our behaviour system, we use ‘Good to be Green’ rewards from Reception to Year 6. Our ethos is to notice good behaviour and give attention to children making right choices. Children start on green every day, they can earn a gold card for their behaviour in a day. However, for the children who consistently make right choices, they are awarded a platinum card. The card stays in place the the entire half term.
Each half term, the Platinum time can be chosen from a range of activities: a games session, a trip to the park, a movie and the all time favourite – the Platinum Disco.
First things first – it’s all about the snacks! Whatever activity it is, the children have come to expect the snacks.
Then it’s all about the fun and on this occasion dancing.
It’s always a privilege to see the children who consistently make right choices have their special time.
