Year Three welcome Rocket to the family

This term, Year Three became adoptive parents! We were kindly gifted a manatee named Rocket who can be found at Blue Springs State Park in Florida. First identified as a calf by the Save the Manatee Club in 2006, Rocket was named after his love of shooting around his run while he was in rehabilitation.

Adopting Rocket has allowed us to learn all about manatees, from their habitats, and diet to lifespan. We have particularly enjoyed watching the livestreams from the park.

We look forward to following Rocket for years to come!
