Year 4 TRY Tag Rugby
Over the past six weeks, Year 4 have had a fantastic time learning to play tag rugby with Coach Phil. The children have developed their skills, built their confidence and, most importantly, had lots of fun!
They began by learning the importance of teamwork and how to create a strong defensive wall, which they cleverly named “Tom”! They also played games such as Hair and the Hound and Stuck in the Mud to develop their movement, communication and tagging skills. They then put everything they had learned into practice by playing tag rugby matches.
Throughout the sessions, Coach Phil reminded the children of the important values of rugby: Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. Year 4 have worked hard to demonstrate these values and support one another on the pitch.
