The Terrific Twos go to the Horniman Museum

The Terrific Twos have been (secretly) documenting stories from our adventures (Miss Williams still is unaware of our tremendous blog *wink wink*) and today we’re sharing one of our best days yet…our amazing trip to the Horniman Museum!

We started our journey by hopping onto the bus and when we arrived, we headed straight to a fantastic Amazon Rainforest workshop, where we learned all about the Wai-Wai people in Guyana. We explored artefacts, asked brilliant questions, and learned about things like deforestation. We felt like real rainforest researchers!

Next, we were brave explorers as we held some taxidermy animals. They weren’t alive, but they looked and felt so real. Some of us were bold enough to touch everything, while others did gentle finger pokes but everyone tried!

Then it was off to the Horniman Aquarium. We pressed our faces close to the glass to spot colourful fish and unusual sea creatures. We loved discovering which animals lived together and which ones liked hiding.

After that, we went on the Animal Walk, where we met goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and even tall, curious llamas. The goats were especially cheeky, and we think the llamas were posing for us.

We also played in the sound area making rhythms, testing instruments, and creating… well, let’s just call them “Terrific Twos Symphonies!” Then we explored the rest of the museum.

By the end of the trip, we were tired but super happy. We had so much fun and asked Miss Williams to take us back to school, but we definitely hope to visit the Horniman Museum again soon.

Thank you so much for tuning into another one of our adventures and we can’t wait until the next one.
