The Art of Decoration

Year 4 were getting festive this week with some beautiful oil pastel drawings.

We looked at Christmas baubles and how the light hits them from different angles. We looked at how tone and shading work together to make things look 3D. Then, we picked up the oil pastels and started with the branches, then the colourful baubles and finally the Christmas lights! You can see for yourselves how BEAUTIFUL they all turned out!
