Pens, What Pens?

No Pens Day is an exciting opportunity to put our pens down, talk, listen, and take part in lots of pen-free activities, to emphasise the importance of talking, listening and interacting.

St Michael's had a great day packed with creativity, movement and teamwork.  Just look at the learning we accomplished - without the use of a pen!

Year 2 are learning all about shape, so they had exciting shape-based challenges.  The room was buzzing with problem-solving, teamwork, and lots of shape vocabulary!

In RE, the classroom transformed into an art studio as we listened to an audio version of the Nativity story. As each moment unfolded, we created live paintings that captured different scenes from Jesus’ birth; the angels and the shepherds, to the peaceful moment in the stable.

Year 6 had a great time.  They explored questions based on, 'How would you feel if...'

  • you were late to school?
  • you weren't allowed onto your computer?
  • school finished early tomorrow?
  • you had no one to play with in the playground?
  • you lost your mobile phone?

Hit the Button- where they soon realised that teamwork gave the best outcome.
