Materials Everywhere

This half term, Year 1 have been exploring a range of different materials such as wood, metal, fabric, plastic and glass. We talked about what different objects are made from and why.

We also carried out an investigation to find out which objects float and which object sink. We made our predictions and tested them in water, observing what happened.

We learned that materials can have different properties and that’s why investigating helps us to find out new things.
