At St Michael’s we encourage the children to learn collaboratively, that means we give them opportunity to learn from each other. Working with peers in a non-threatening manner builds confidence, encourages greater participation, and results in more thoughtful discussions.
We therefore use Kagan strategies in the classroom and one of the strategies is called ‘Quiz, Quiz, Trade’. This cooperative-learning technique has children review information with their peers by asking and answering questions.
Here are the Year 1 children taking part in a ‘Quiz, Quiz, Trade’.
